We are happy to share that registration is now open for the next Buddhist Teachers in Europe gathering, which will take place from 21–24 September 2026 in Moulin de Chaves, France.
This year’s theme will be: Peace Building: How can we encourage it?
At a time when the world feels increasingly divided, it seems especially meaningful for us as Buddhist teachers to come together, reflect, and explore how the Dharma can support the cultivation of peace in our communities and beyond.
Today, the aims of the Buddhist Teachers’ meeting feel even more relevant than when it was first created. Our societies are experiencing increasing divisions—across generations, identities, and viewpoints—and we are also facing new and complex challenges, including the rapid rise in AI and its unknown consequences. In this context, maintaining an in-person gathering feels especially important.
We warmly invite you to join us for what we hope will be a thoughtful, supportive, and inspiring time together in a beautiful retreat setting.

A glimpse back at 2025
At the end of September 2025, we gathered for three days at the Triratna Adhisthana Centre in England. The gentle atmosphere, shared practice, and time spent together—both in discussion and in nature—created a deeply meaningful and connective experience.
We explored our roles as Dharma teachers across different Sanghas, shared challenges and insights, and reflected on how we can contribute to harmony and peace. A particularly memorable session included a presentation on the use and potential consequences of AI within our communities.
Here are a few reflections from participants:
“Such a relaxed, friendly and fun time we had together! Sharing our enthusiasms as Buddhists, sharing expertise, discussing matters relevant to all of us as Dharma teachers.” — Munisha
“The joys of seeing old friends and meeting new ones… it’s a unique atmosphere. It’s only a few days but the connections don’t fade—I wouldn’t miss it.” — Five
“I met returning participants more sincerely and discovered new ones with curiosity and joy. A great adventure.” — Isabelle
