The European Buddhist Union supports the global initiative of the Safe Space Alliance. This means that EBU events will be a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community.

A safe space is a place where queer people can freely express themselves without fear. It is a space, physical or virtual, where violence, bullying or hate speech against members of the LGBTQIA+ community will not be tolerated.

A safe space does not guarantee 100% safety, but is rather a place that you protect if an incident (violence, bullying or hate speech) should occur.
