In this episode of the European Buddha Podcast, we had the wonderful opportunity to have a conversation with Lama Rinczen, a respected Dharma teacher from Poland in the Karma Kagyu tradition.

As he stated in the beginning: "You can accuse me of many things, but laziness is probably not one of them." So we were glad to have such an experienced practitioner to talk to.

Lama Rinczen took us through his personal journey of discovering the Dharma and his path to becoming a monk back in the days. He shared his experiences of many travels across Eastern and Western cultures, highlighting the unique challenges and opportunities in bridging these worlds through teaching the Dharma and encounter various kind of students.

Lama Rinchen (Waldemar Zych), born in Poland, has practiced dharma since 1977. A student of the Honourable Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche and His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche of Benchen Monastery, he was a monk for ten years, spending over four years in meditation retreats. Appointed as the resident lama of the Benchen Karma Kamtsang Centre in Poland, Lama Rinchen leads meditation courses, study seminars, and the traditional three-year retreat. He also offers personal guidance to individual retreatants and teaches regularly at Kagyu centres in Poland and abroad.
