Tsunma Konchok Jinpa Chodron (Jutta Gassner) is a western nun in the Drikung Kagyu Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. She studied political-and social sciences, before moving to England where she trained and worked as a psychotherapist. In 2000 she entered a Soto-Zen monastery and ordained as a Novice Zen-Priest. Later she met her Tibetan Root Teacher, H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, who ordained her in 2009. Since then, she has returned to Germany and has been practicing in the Drikung Tradition, undertaking many retreats. She now lives at Lake Constance where she founded the Organisation‚ "Gelebter Dialog im alten Kloster", which is committed to inter/multi-religious/inter-cultural dialog.
She is vice-chairwoman and official spokesperson for interreligious/interconvictional dialog for the DBU (German Buddhist Union) as well as being on the board of the DBO (German Buddhist Association of the Ordained Sangha). Besides her engagement in IRD/ICD, she is also very committed to the issue of women in Buddhism and Religion.
The "European Buddha podcast" inquires how the wisdom of buddhism is lived and practiced in the „West“. Every last Friday of the month, Emilia Raunio and Martin Landschein welcome guests from various traditions on different topics. See more
